Rock N’ Roll Sushi, the “original American-style sushi restaurant” that prides itself on being “big, bold, and loud,” is set to take the stage at 9950 W Glendale Ave in Glendale this August, followed by an encore performance at 15611 W McDowell Road in Goodyear come November, according to franchisee and company CEO, Chris Kramolis.

The move is part of Rock N Roll Sushi’s “Go West young brand,” campaign that was first announced last year, and will see the restaurant expanding into Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Colorado over the coming months.

“We’re really excited about it because we’ve got 62 units and they’re mainly concentrated in the Southeast,” Kramolis tells What Now Phoenix, “so it’s our real first jump out West.”

Founded just 13 years ago in Mobile, Alabama by husband-and-wife Lance and Gerri Mach Hallmark, Rock N’ Roll Sushi is on a mission to make the Japanese delicacy more accessible and approachable for folks who might otherwise not get to try it.

“What we’ve done is we’ve taken sushi and marketed it to people who weren’t really invited to the game. That’s really the whole thing with Rock N’ Roll Sushi – the kick-ass atmosphere, the rock n’ roll music, and then it’s an American twist on sushi with some rolls that are fried or baked, some really great sauces – it’s an approachable take on sushi,” says Kramolis.
